A Celebration of Life was held in Denver, June 26, 2004 Cathy Bynum Maurer, 57, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2004. She lived in Aldwick, West Sussex, United Kingdom, with her husband Eddy Maurer Cathy was born March 13, 1947 in Rensselaer, Indiana. Cathy graduated from Purdue University in 1969 and moved to Denver, Colorado, where she lived until 1987. Her career took her from Denver Colorado where she worked for the Cattlemen's Association, 1969-70, and with Mountain Bell, to Miami, Florida, with Eastern Airlines and System One, then on to Munich, Germany, with Amadeus. She met her husband while working in Germany. Eddy and Cathy were married June 17, 1995, in Denver, Colorado. Cathy loved many things and was passionate about many more - nature, flowers, gardening, landscaping, Christmas, travel, books, music, her cats and decorating her homes. Cathy graduated from the Oxford College of Garden Design, the Chelsea Physic Garden Design, the Fairchild Tropical Garden Design and Landscape. Cathy is preceded in death by her father, George Bynum. She is survived by her husband Eddy Maurer, her mother Helen Bynum, her sister Susan Mattocks, brother-in-law Mark Mattocks, niece, Michelle Mattocks, nephews, Clint and Wesley Mattocks, all of Rensselaer, Indiana, her brother Sherman Bynum and his wife Megan of Bloomington, Indiana, and many many close friends around the world. Cathy was an inspiration to all those around her. She brought happiness and cheer to everyone that she knew. She always believed that her guardian angel was looking after her. She was a guardian angel to many of her friends and family. She is greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever. I have known Cathy since January 1992 and first knew her as a friend. This quickly blossomed into a loving relationship that has grown from strength to strength over the years. I have not only lost my wife, but have lost my closest friend. Thank you. Eddy Maurer
If you would like to donate to a cause in her name, Eddy requested, The Denver Symphony, any cat care society, or any Heart Association. |
